Lanka tri-series to be called Unitech Cup

New Delhi, Aug 7 (UNI) The forthcoming tri-series involving hosts Sri Lanka, India and South Africa will be called Unitech Cup tournament with the Indian real estate and infrastructure developer bagging the title sponsorship for the event.

The hosts take on Mark Boucher-led South Africa in the opener on August 14 and altogether, seven matches would be played over 16 days with the final slated for August 29.

Commenting on its maiden association with a cricket tournament, Managing Director of Unitech Limited Sanjay Chandra described it as the first initiative as a corporate citizen to promote sports.
