HP unveils Instant-On based Laserjet printer in India

New Delhi, Aug 7 (UNI) Hewlett-Packard (HP) today launched its Laserjet 5200 series, an advanced version of the 5100 printers in India.

HP LaserJet 5200 series is based on HP Instant-On Technology that reduces the warm-up time and allows the first page to be printed in 10 seconds only regardless of when the printer was last used.

''According to the recent IDC estimates, the market for business printing is expected to grow at 14 per cent in 2006 in India. With the expected growth of 14 per cent, there is a growing need in Indian businesses for high-speed printing coupled with a high rate of return on investment. The launch of 5200 Laserjet series is a part of our endeavour to enable businesses on growing their customers and profits,''HP Laser Printer Business Country Manager Samir Shah said.

Priced from Rs 50,000 onwards, HP Laserjet 5200 series, addressing the needs of the business customers, is optimised for organisations.

It features printing speeds of up to 35ppm on A4 and 18.5ppm on A3. Instant Technology delivers first page out in less than 10 seconds.
