JERUSALEM, Aug 6 (Reuters) Rockets fired by Lebanese Hizbollah guerrillas hit the northern Israeli city of Haifa today, killing at least one person and wounding 65, medics and local media said.
A police commander told Israel Radio that a rocket slammed into two adjacent houses, causing them to partially collapse.
Several people were trapped in the rubble.
Twelve Israeli soldiers were killed earlier today when a Hizbollah rocket landed among reservists in northern Israel, Hizbollah's deadliest single rocket strike of the Lebanon war.
