Gaur returns ministerial facilities for the second time
Indore, Aug 7: BJP MLA Lakshman Singh Gaur has returned the minister-level facilities provided to him by virtue of his association with the implementation committee of the 'Pancha-Ja' development campaign launched by the then Madhya Pradesh chief minister Uma Bharti.
In a letter to Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, sent recently, he said, ''I feel burdened by the facilities as no work is taking place under the campaign.'' Even last year, Mr Gaur dashed off a similar missive to the then chief minister Babulal Gaur but later re-accepted the facilities as Mr Gaur provided an assurance that 'Pancha-Ja' would not be placed on the backburner.
At the beginning of the BJP's tenure in this state, Ms Bharti initiated the campaign for benefiting 'jan' (people), 'jal' (water), jungle, 'jaanwar' (animals) and 'jameen' (land).
Meanwhile, Uma Bharti-founded Bharatiya Janashakti state President Raghunandan Sharma congratulated Mr L S Gaur for his ''courageous'' step.
''Ms Bharti's policies and programmes were for implementing the BJP's manifesto and that means the BJP is unwilling to implement its own manifesto,'' alleged Mr Sharma.
