Flood victims would be rendered all possible help: Minister

Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh, Aug 7 (UNI) Minister for Revenue and Rehabilitation Dharmana Prasada Rao today said that all possible help would be rendered to the flood victims.

Talking to mediapersons here he said, lakhs of people lost their homes and they were being rehabilitated. The displaced were shifted to the relief camp and food was being provided, he added.

He said two helicopters were pressed into service for dropping food, water and other essentials to those in the marooned villages.

He said if necessary more boats would be pressed into service to reach out to the villagers.

The Minister, who has been touring the district for the past three days, said that water was pumped out of 70 per cent streets in Srikakulam town.
