ECIL selected to provide CC for BrahMos

Hyderabad, Aug 7 (UNI) Electronics Corporation of India Limited (ECIL), the Hyderabad-based pioneer of indigenous electronics industry, has been selected to provide the all critical Command and Control systems (CC) for BrahMos, the strategic cruise missile of Indian armed forces.

The all important Order, valued at more than Rs 50 crore, for supply of Mobile Command Posts (MCPs), Mobile Autonomous Launches (MALs) and Training Simulators, was to be executed in about eighteen months.

''It will pave way of further orders for these state-of-the-art systems that also have excellent export prospects'', ECIL said in a statement here today.

ECIL and DRDL were involved from the conceptual stage in the design, development, integration and software development for the prototype built of CC for the BrahMos system.
