BJP sacks Chhattisgarh party chief
Raipur, Aug 7 (UNI) The BJP today sacked its Chhattisgarh unit chief Shiv Pratap Singh following his outburst against state ministers.
''BJP president Rajnath Singh has removed Mr Shiv Pratap Singh from the post of state party president. Another tribal leader Vishnu Dev Sai, a Lok Sabha member representing Raigarh seat, is being appointed as the president'', state BJP sources confirmed today.
They said the party high command has taken a serious view of the senior tribal leader's ''outbursts'' during an interview with a television channel, demanding removal of ''corrupt and inefficient'' ministers in the Raman Singh government and action against corrupt bureaucrats saying that they were tarnishing the image of the BJP government.
