BJ to take up rape victim's case
Indore, Aug 7 (UNI) Uma Bharti's Bharatiya Janashakti (BJ) will complain to the National Commission Women (NCW) and National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) regarding a murder case being registered against a tribal rape victim, who killed her assailant in self-defence but was labelled as a ''call girl'' by the police.
''My party will extend all possible legal aid to the young woman.
the City police has acted in a criminal manner and displayed carelessness,'' BJ Madhya Pradesh President Raghunandan Sharma told reporters here today.
Last month, the woman was found unconscious by police in a hospital after a murder at a hotel.
Medical examination revealed she had been raped.
