APTS to set up AP Broad Band project
Machilipatnam, Andhra Pradesh, Aug 7 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Technology Services Ltd (APTS), a state-owned unit is planning to set up an AP Broad Band project soon.
Talking to UNI, an APTS spokesman said at present the state government was using very low speed of two MBPS leased lines between state headquarter and district headquarters. The new project would increase the speed by ten MBPS, he said.
He said for the speedy implementation of the project,the IT and communicaion department had formed a district level implementation committee with collectors in the state. The project site has to be prepared at each collectorate, DRO office, MRO office and District Panchayat Office for installing the required electronic equipment.
The project would be completed by this year end. APTS would hold its first meeting on August nine in Hyderabad.
After the completion of the project, it will be utilised in video conferences, Data transfer and voice transfer, the spokesman added.
