Succour to flood-hit in Vadodara
Vadodara, Aug 6 (UNI) The state government has announced a compensation of Rs 1.90 cr for the flood-hit in Vadodara district.
Out of this, Rs 1.15 cr has been allocated to rural areas and Rs 55 lakh for Vadodara city. The remaining amount would be kept in reserve.
Announcing this today, the district collector Raju Topno said cash doles would be given to 16,574 individuals from 3,918 families in 64 villages after an assessment is carried out by officials. For this 57 teams have been constituted, he added.
He also said that teams would visit 47 villages to assess the severity of damage to houses and assistance would be provided to 2,352 families.
