Condoleezza Rice wants vote soon on UN resolution

Crawford (Texas), Aug 6: US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said today it is important to get a vote on a UN resolution in the next day or two to clear the way for a halt to large-scale violence in southern Lebanon.

If that resolution can be quickly voted on, she told reporters, ''I would hope that you would see very early on an end to large-scale violence.''
