Rains stall work at Sirpur Paper Mills

New Delhi, Aug 6 (UNI) The production activities in the Sirpur Paper Mills Ltd located in Sirpur Kagaznagar town of Adilabad district in Andhra Pradesh have come to a stand still due to heavy downpour.

The integrated pulp and paper manufacturing company, has informed the BSE that all activities at its mill stopped due to heavy torrential rains leading to complete water logging, flood and disruption of road and rail transport.

Necessary insurance claim shall be lodged after loss assessment in due course of time, it said.

In Adilabad district, the flood situation has worsened with the Penganga and Pranahita rivers submerging more areas. As many as 200 villages have been marooned.
