'No need for assessment of K'taka JD-S Ministers'

Mysore, Aug 6: Former Prime Minister and Janata Dal (Secular) National President H D Deve Gowda today said there was no need for assessing performance of his party ministers in Karnataka.

Lauding party Ministers for their performance, Mr Gowda told newpersons that ''Party ministers are performing well and there is no need for their assessment as done by coalition partner Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). If the BJP has started reviewing performance of its Ministers it does not mean we also should do.'' About allegations levelled against his family members and party, including Rs 150 Crore Mine bribery case, Mr Gowda said that 'time will reveal the truth.

Replying to a question about fielding candidates for the Chamundeswari Assembly seat which fell vacant following resignation of former Deputy Chief Minister S Siddaramaiah to join Congress, Mr Gowda said ''after Election Commission announce the date I would visit the constituency and as per people wish I will act.'' Mr Gowda, later participated in the 85th Birthday celebration of the Former Union Minister and Senior Politician M S Gurupadaswamy.
