MP Gram Sabhas from Aug 12

Bhopal, Aug 6 (UNI) Gram Sabhas would be organised at about 55,000 villages in Madhya Pradesh from August 12 to 19 under the provisions of the Panchayatiraj Act.

Besides deliberating on the works carried out and income and expenditure, the Gram Sabhas would also discuss about Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme, Jalabhishek Abhiyan and tree plantation programme.

Panchayat Minister Narendra Singh Tomar has appealed the villagers to actively participate in the Gram Sabhas.
