Minister inspects GH for upgradation project
Tiruchirapalli, Aug 06 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Health Minister K K S S R Ramachandran today said there was enough space in the Dr K A P Viswanatham Government Medical College Hospital here to implement a Rs 100 crore upgradation project.
Talking to newspersons after inspecting the hospital premises along with ministers K N Nehru and N Selvaraj, Mr Ramachandran said since the hospital was located on a 24-acre land, enough space was available in creating more infrastructure in the premises.
He said he had conducted the inspection as per the directions from Tamil Nadu Chief Minister. A formal announcement would be made by Mr Karunanidhi after the end of the current budget session, he added.
Replying to a question he said no deaths were reported from any part of the state due to Chikungunya.
