Maria Shriver calls on the Dalai Lama

Dharamshala, Aug 6 (UNI) Maria Shriver, wife of Calfornia Governor Arnold Schwarzeneger, called on Tibetan Spiritual head, the Dalai Lama, sources in the Tibetan government-in-exile today said.

Describing the yesterday's meeting between the-two as a courtesy meeting, sources said Ms Shriver, who had arrived here on Friday, later left for New Delhi.

Ms Shriver, also visited the Tibetann children's village school here.

Earlier in May, Hilary Swank, two-time Oscar winner and known for her roles in ''Boys Don't Cry'' and ''Million Dollar Baby'', had visited Sungal village near Palampur, about 50 kms from here in May.
