IRB candidates called a 28 hr general strike

Imphal, Aug 6: The Joint Action Committee(JAC) of 5th Indian Reserved Battalion (IRB) has called a 28-hour general strike in Manipur starting from 6 pm of August 16 to 10 pm of August 17.

The strike was called to protest the non declaration of results of the IRB test conducted earlier.

Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh said the results will be announced soon but did not give any time frame.
