Hooda expresses shock over boat tragedy

Chandigarh, Aug 6 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda has expressed deep shock and grief over the boat tragedy near Chayansa village (Ballabgarh) this morning, which claimed nearly 20 lives.

Mr Hooda has announced an ex-gratia grant of Rs two lakh each to the next of the kin of those who had died in this tragic boat incident. He has sent heart felt condolences to the bereaved families.

The bodies of the deceased had been consigned to flames on the banks of Yamuna river near the village.

Member of Parliament from Faridabad Avtar Singh Badana, Gurgaon Division Commissioner Dr Avtar Singh, Faridabad SP M S Sheoran, Additional Deputy Commissioner Sanjay Joon were present at the cremation site.
