Five senior IRMA professors quit to be loyal to varghese kurian
Anand, Aug 6: Even as the Institute of Rural Management (IRMA) board of governors meet tomorrow, five senior professors, believed to be loyalists of the Institute's founder Verghese Kurien have resigned from their posts.
Two of these faculty members-Prof Vallabh Biswas and Prof Haribandhu Panda, who were also on the Board, also quit from the Board of governors too.
Prof Smita PandaProf L K Vaswani, the former acting director and Prof S N Biswas were the other three who put in their papers.
''The resignations were not related to ideology at all. After Dr Kurien's exit, things had become pretty unpleasant,'' one of the professors who resigned told sources.
