Drug peddler gets 10 years' imprisonment

Ratlam, MP, Aug 6 (UNI) A special court here has sentenced a person to 10 years' rigorous imprisonment and fined him Rs one lakh for smuggling opium.

According to prosecution, Central Narcotics Bureau sleuths had nabbed Mandsaur-resident Kishanlal from Indira Gandhi bus stand at Jawra and seized eight kilo opium from him on June 6, 2001.

Judge Abhay Kumar delivered the verdict yesterday.
