Clash disrupts polls in AP

Ongole, Aug 6 (UNI) Two groups of people hurled country-made hand bombs at each other in Miriyampalli village in Prakasam district this morning, during the third phase Gram Panchaayat elections.

Police opened three rounds of fire in the air, to disperse the groups. However, no one was injured in the clash, police said.

Polling was disrupted for some time but resumed later.
