Mild quake shakes Uttaranchal this afternoon

New Delhi, Aug 5: An earthquake of moderate intensity shook Uttaranchal this afternoon.

The quake, measuring 5 on the Richter Scale, occurred at 1303 hrs, India Meteorological Department said here today.

It was epicentred on the Indo-Nepal border.

The tremors were also felt in the other Northern states, including Delhi.
