Final phase of polling tomorrow

Chittoor, Aug 5(UNI) About 1311 sarpanch candidates are in the fray for 413 gram panchayats in Madanapalli Revenue Division the district, in the third and final phase of polling tomorrow.

According to a release, 4,814 candidates are contesting for the remaining 2,565 ward posts in the 31 mandals of the revenue division.

The district police administration have deployed more than 3,000 police personnel in the naxal infested areas in the division, the release added.

However, the third phase polling in the Ananthapur Revenue Division in Ananthapur district, will be held for 297 sarpanch posts, as 71 sarpanchs had already been elected unanimously.
