Contraband dealer sent to jail

Patna, Aug 5 (UNI) District and Sessions judge of Patna Justice Mandhata Singh today remanded an accused to judicial custody on charges of smuggling contraband hemp (Ganja) under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

Earlier in the day a resident of Jethuli village under Fatuah police station area of Patna district Sitaram yadav was produced before the court after his arrest.

According to the FIR, police had seized six quintals of hemp from Jethuli village on August 2 last and eight persons were named as accused.
