Consumer society bans soft drinks in Dimapur

Kohima, Aug 5 (UNI) The Consumer Society of Dimapur in Nagaland has imposed a ban on sale and purchase of cola drinks in and around town following reports of presence of pesticides in the soft drinks.

Addressing newsmen here today, general secretary of the Society V Vinito Chopphy cautioned the consumers and stockiest not to buy or sale of any soft drinks till the case was finalised by the Centre.

It also urged the people, administration, Municipal Council and NGOs to check sale and purchase of the banned drinks.
