22 Patna-bound train passengers robbed by 'zeharkhurans'
Varanasi, Aug 4 (UNI) Notorious 'zeharkhurani' (drug-and-rob) gangs struck two Patna-bound trains early today, robbing at least 22 passengers of cash and valuables worth several thousands of rupees.
The incidents occurred before the Mughalsarai railway station of the neighbouring Chandauli district.
Government Railway Police (GRP) sources said here 22 passengers aboard the New Delhi-Patna Sampoorna Kranti and Jansadharan Express were robbed.
The matter came to light, when the trains reached Mughalsarai.
Meanwhile, the victims had been admitted in an unconscious state at hospitals in Mughalsarai and Buxar (Bihar).
