Three NBFC Directors arrested
New Delhi, Aug 4 (UNI) Three directors of a non-banking finance company were arrested by the Economic Offences Wing of the Delhi Police for allegedly duping more than 20 lakh investors.
Amrit Lal Syal (80), Ms Neena Syal (50) and Ms Pamila Syal, all contemporary directors of Golden Forest India Ltd and Golden Project Ltd, were arrested in August 2.
The NBFC had opened many branches across the country and had succeeded in amassing Rs 980 crore from more than 20 lakh investors.
Several cases are pending against them and another director of the company Rakesh Kant Syal, is in judicial custody in Chandigarh.
The three accused have been remanded to three-day police custody till August 5.
Further investigations are in progress.
