Bangalore, Aug 4 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded by the weather office at 0830 hours today.

The heavy rain may occur at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka during next 48 Hours.

Rainfall occurred at most places over Coastal Karnataka and at a few places over Interior Karnataka.

Heavy Rainfall amounts (cm): Subramanya 9; Nilkund 8; Mudibidre, Mani 7 each.

Other chief rainfall amounts (cm): Karkala, Sringeri, Bhagamandala 6 each; Belthangadi, Udupi, Siddapura, Lakkavalli 5 each; Kota, Siddapura, Puttur, Aurad, Madikeri, Jayapura, Hosanagar, Thirthahalli 4 each; Mangalore, Mulki, Panambur, Bajpe, Sulya, Kundapur, Bhatkal, Joida, Bhalki, Bidar, Kalasa, Somwarpet 3 each.

Forecast valid until Sunday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at most places over Coastal Karnataka; at many places over North Interior Karnataka and at a few places over South Interior Karnataka.

Farmers Weather Bulletin: Moderate to heavy rain likely to occur at most places over all districts of Coastal Karnataka and at many places over Bidar, Gulbarga, Shimoga, Kodagu and Chikmagalur districts. Light to moderate rain likely to occur at many places over Belgaum, Dharwad, Bijapur, districts; at a few places over Bellary, Davanagere districts of South Interior Karnataka and remaining districts of North Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over Chitradurga, and Hassan districts. Mainly dry weather may prevail over remaining districts of South Interior Karnataka.
