Four drown in Narmada while immersing Goddess idol
Anand, Aug 4 (UNI) Four people, including two members of a family, today drowned while immersing an idol of Goddess Dasama in Narmada river at Gawadi village of Zagdiya taluka in Bharuch district.
They were a part of a procession to immerse the idol when they slipped in the water and drowned, police said. Three bodies have been recovered.
Local divers brought out the bodies as a fire brigade team had not reached.
The dead have been identified as Ranjanben Vikhabhai (23), her brother Shailesh Vikhabhai (20) and two 18-year-olds - Vasava and Gaurang Varsadbhai.
