BPSC employee sent to jail

Patna, Aug 4 (UNI) Special vigilance judge in-charge of Patna Jayant Kumar Sen today remanded an employee of Bihar Public Service Commision (BPSC) to judicial custody.

The case was related to irregularities committed in the recommendation for the post of manager, Moinual Haque stadium of Patna, by the officials of BPSC.

Assistant of BPSC Bhimsen, the accused, surrendered before the court with a prayer of bail.

The designated judge refused to grant bail to the accused and sent him to jail till August 11 next.

Judge Mr Sen, in another case rejected the bail plea of a drug inspector of Patna Awadesh Kumar Singh in a disproportionate assets case. According to the charges the accused, Mr singh had amassed wealth of over Rs 9.55 lakh during the period of 1994 to 2004.

The accused is lodged in the jail since July 28 last.
