Youth killled by friend, killer arrested

Akola, Aug 3 (UNI) A youth was allegedly killed by his friend in adjoining Mothi Umri area of the city over an alleged love affair, police said.

The dead body of the deceased, identified as Satish Pimpalkar (22), an auto-rickshaw driver and resident of Mothi Umri area, was found yesterday in an open ground adjacent to Tilak Rashtriya Sarswati Mandir (School).

Both the friends, Amol (killer) and the deceased were engaged in a quarrel after they drank heavily yesterday. The sister of one girl was slapped by Satish which resulted in clash between the two. Amol broke two earthen pots on the head of Satish and later strangulated him with a shirt. The killer dragged the dead body to a certain distant and ran away, police said.

The alleged main accused Amol Ramchandra Gharde and another Murli Ambadas Tikar (23), have been arrested on murder charges under section 302 of the IPC, police added.
