Woodcutters convention in MP
Bhopal, Aug 3 (UNI) A unique convention of woodcutters will be organised in Madhya Pradesh to provide a platform for knowing their problems and exploring alternative livelihood options for them.
The convention, part of the process for exploring opportunities for building sustainable livelihood for the poor, is being organised at Mandla on August 5 by the Forest department and Madhya Pradesh Rural Livelihood Project.
About 200 woodcutters living off forests near their villages will atttend the convention, which will discuss building livelihoods for them through agriculture, horticulture, fisheries and non-timber forest produces, official sources said.
