Van carrying newspapers burnt down in Asom

Guwahati, Aug 3 (UNI) A van belonging to The Asom Tribune Group of Newspaper here was burnt down along with newspapers at Makum near Dikrong police station in Upper Asom early this morning.

Sources said that some miscreants travelling in an Indica dashed against the newspaper van and threw bottles containing some liquid at the van, which caught fire.

The van, on its way to distribute the morning newspapers, was damaged badly by the fire.

However, the miscreants left the place immediately, sources informed.

The identity of the miscreants could not be ascertained till now.
