Two persons commit suicide in Kolhapur

Kolhapur, Aug 3 (UNI) Two persons allegedly committed suicide in two places in Kolhapur district today.

The deceased have been identified as Mahadev Baburao Salokhe (50) of Devale village and Shrikant Bhopale (45) from Ujalaiwadi at city's outskirts in Karvir tehsil, police said.

Mahadev was a liquor addict and reportedly committed suicide in an inebriated state by hanging himself in his house.

Shrikant ended his life by jumping into a water tank after being depressed over his prolonged illness, police added.
