Tension over murder after eve-teasing

Bhopal, Aug 3 (UNI) Tension prevailed in Kolar Road area of the state capital after a youth was murdered over eve-teasing last night.

Police used mild force to disperse an agitated mob, which stonned the Kolar Road Police Station last night and again resorted to road blockade this morning on the bridge over Kaliasot river, the only link to Kolar Road area from the city. Few thousand office-goers and students were stranded due to the road blockade for about three hours.

Few youths, after teasing four girls in Rajharsh Colony last night, attacked the house of a girl and in retaliation by the girl's father and other relatives, one of the attackers Krishna Yadav was killed and another seriously injured.

Following stoning of the police station, the girl's father and three other relatives were arrested. The 'chakkajam' was staged to protest alleged police inaction.

Superintendent of Police A K Singh said the situation was under control.
