Sri Lankan Tamil refugees arrested

Coimbatore, Aug 3 (UNI) As many as 234 Sri Lankan Tamil refugees were arrested today, when they tried to conduct an agitation infront of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Training College at Kurudampalayam here to protest against the training provided to Srilankan Police personnel.

Police said the agitation was led by Periyar Dravida Kazhagam Leader K Ramarrittinan.

Political parties including MDMK and Dalit Panthers of India took part in the agitation.
