Smart showers keep Kolkatans happy

Kolkata, Aug 3 (UNI) The city experienced light to heavy rainfall bringing the temperature down appreciably today.

The rains brought down the temperature by two to three degrees Celsius. Only 5 mm rainfall has been recorded till now, weather officials informed.

The weather has been very unpredictable during the last few days with sun belting down one moment and raining the next.

MET office sources said the maximum temperature was 31.6 degree Celsius and the minimum temperature was 25.8 degree Celsius.

However, the MET department has cautioned about a few spells of thunderstorms later in the day.
