PSEB Section Engineer suspended
Kapurthala, Aug 3 (UNI) The Punjab State Electricity Board (PSEB)has suspended Kapurthala circle Superintending Engineer K D Parti on the charge of providing uninterrupted power supply to deras in the circle, violating the norms of the Board.
The decision was taken in the PSEB's meeting presided over by its chairman Y S ratra at Patiala yesterday as the Board members took serious note of the irregularities committed by the S E in providing uninterrupted supply to about 30 'deras' in the circle.
When contacted, Mr Parti confirmed his suspension, saying he was not issued any chargesheet nor was he asked to give an explanation before his suspension.
He said he had written a letter to the Board for some clarification on the ambiguous instructions regarding uninterrupted supply to deras.
Meanwhile, PSEB Director (Planning) S K Kapoor has taken over as new S E of Kapurthala circle.
