MoU between Centre, Goa on IFFI partnership soon

New Delhi, Aug 3 (UNI) The Centre will sign an agreement with the Goa government on partnership for the International Film Festival of India slated for November.

''A Memorandum of Understanding will be entered into by the state government and the Directorate of Film Festivals (DFF) of the Ministry, delineating the partnership arrangements between the DFF and the State Government in the organisation of the IFFI 2006,'' Information and Broadcasting Minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi told the Rajya Sabha today.

The Goa government has written to the Centre regarding handing over the management of IFFI, Mr Dasmunsi said.

The festival is scheduled to be held from November 23.
