Mittal officials directed to identify land
Ranchi, Aug 3 (UNI) The state government has directed Mittal company officials to identify the land for their much-hyped Rs 40,000 crore green field project in Jharkhand.
The decision was taken in a meeting held yesterday.
The Mittal group has demand 8000 hectares of land for its project.
Chief secretary M K Mandal told the visiting officials to take Mineral Processing licence as soon as possible to expedite the work.
They were also asked about their requirements of minerals.
Mr Mandal also directed the campany officials to start building the infrastructure as the required land is being provided by the government.
The Chief Executive Officer for its proposed project in Jharkhand, Sanak Mishra said the decision in this regard would be taken in September.
From the beginning, the steel major has shown its interest in Chiria mines of West Singhbhum.
However, the matter of Chiria mines is pending with the Jharkhand High court.
