Landslide disrupts train movement

Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh, Aug 3 (UNI) Movement of trains on Bailadila-Vishakhapatnam route remained disrupted since yesterday following landslide near Chimadipalli station, 200 Km from here.

Senior railway officials reached the spot to supervise removal of boulders from the tracks for restoration of traffic, railway sources said.

Four days ago, traffic on the route was affected for two days following derailment of goods wagons in Orissa.

Due to disruption in movement of iron ore from Bailadila, the railway was incurring loss of about Rs 4 crore daily.
