Bangalore, Aug 3 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded by the weather office at 0830 hours today.
Rainfall occurred at most places over Coastal Karnataka and at a few places over Interior Karnataka.
Heavy Rainfall amounts (cm): Kadra 9.
Other chief rainfall amounts (cm): Dharmasthala, Kollur, Siddapura, Kammardi, Agumbe 5 each; Yellapura, Londa, Talaguppa, Thirthahalli, Sringeri, Jayapura, Koppa, Lakkavalli 4 each; Belthangadi, Kundapur, Kumta, Karwar, Sirsi, Yadgir, Linganamakki 3 each; Bantwal, Mani, Subramanya, Karkala, Bhatkal, Shirali, Honavar, Ankola, Siddapura, Khanapur, Hosanagar, Kalasa, Balehonnur, Sakleshpura 2 each.
Forecast valid until Saturday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at most places over Coastal Karnataka; at many places over North Interior Karnataka and at a few places over South Interior Karnataka.
Farmers Weather Bulletin: Moderate to heavy rain likely to occur at most places over all districts of Coastal Karnataka. Light to moderate rain likely to occur at many places over Belgaum, Dharwad, Bidar, Gulbarga, Shimoga, Kodagu and Chikmagalur districts; at a few places over remaining districts of North Interior Karnataka and over Chitradurga, Davanagere, Bellary and Hassan districts and at isolated places over remaining districts of South Interior Karnataka.
Outlook for subsequent two days: Increase in rainfall over North Interior Karnataka. No significant change is expected over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka.
Forecast for Bangalore city: Generally cloudy. A spell of rain likely in some areas.
