Integrated Action Plan formulated for 2010 CWG
New Delhi, Aug 3 (UNI) The Delhi Government has chalked out an Integrated Action Plan for the 2010 Commonwealth Games which includes construction of Games village, upgradation of stadia and civic infrastructure.
Minister of State for Urban Development Ajay Maken told Rajya Sabha today that the state government had prepared an Integrated Action Plan and a Core Group of officers had been constituted to oversee the progress.
The action plan includes construction of one million gallons per day water treatment plant and similar capacity sewerage treatment plant at the Commonwealth Games Village besides upgrading water supply and sewerage system at all the Games venues, he said.
Construction of a link road from Games Village to Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, construction of flyovers, renovation and development of ISBTs, deployment of High Capacity Buses, extension of Metro Services and setting up of dedicated power supply stations was also on the agenda, Mr Makan said.
Delhi govenment informed yesterday that more than Rs 26,800 crore would be spent on infrastructure development in the capital before the 2010 event through various schemes.
