India win on Vikramjit's hat-trick

Chennai, Aug 3 (UNI) India under-18 team began their campaign with a creditable 3-1 win against Singapore in the four Nation hockey tournament in Singapore today.

According information received here, India rode on Vikramjit Singh's hat-trick off two penalty corners and a penalty stroke.

India led by two goals at half time and scored another in the second session. Singapore earned its lone goal to reduce the margin in this session.
