France 'less confident' on U N Wasia resolution
UNITED NATIONS, Aug 3 (Reuters) French U N Ambassador Jean-Marc de la Sabliere said on Thursday he was less confident than a day earlier that a Security Council resolution would be adopted within days on the fighting in the Middle East.
''I think that we are making progress -- I would say real progress,'' de la Sabliere told reporters as he prepared for a day of direct talks with U S Ambassador John Bolton.
However, ''yesterday morning I was confident that we could have a resolution adopted in the coming days, but by the end of the day I was less confident,'' he said. ''I hope that today it will be a positive day, that I will be again more confident.'' REUTERS SBA RS2118
