Five dacoits arrested in Jharkhand

Bokaro, Aug 2 (UNI) Five dacoits of an inter-district gang were arested from Petarwar police station of Jharkhand's Bokaro district.

Suprintendent of Police Manvinder Singh Bhatia said the arrested were identified as Rafique Ansari, Ali Mohommad, Ahmad Alam, Harid Ansari and Sudesh Goswami.

Mr Bhatia said the inter-district gang was active for the last several months in the area and the arrest miscreants had admitted their involvement in train dacoities in Ranchi, Jamshedpur and Bokaro.

Police also recovered four pistols, 13 cartridges and valuables worth Rs four lakh.
