Enquiry ordered into irregularities in school admission process

New Delhi, Aug 3 (UNI) Delhi Education Minister A S Lovely today ordered enquiry against the school authorities that committed gross irregularities in their admission procedures.

The minister issued the order after a sting operation by a TV channel showed some schools commitiing irregularities in their admission process.

Mr Lovely said Delhi government considered this as a serious problem and would initiate strict disciplinary action against such school authorities.

The state government had framed guidelines for facilitating the admission process in schools and already issued directives to the schools to strictly follow the guidelines so that the students who deserve admission could get admission in the schools easily, he said.

The state government would not tolerate any disobedience in this regard and would take all possible action against all who disobeyd the directives, he added.

The minister also appreciated the efforts of the media in bringing to light such loopholes in admission process of schools.
