Devotee donates Rs 45 lakh worth gold

Tirupati, Aug 3 (UNI) A Chennai-based devotee donated Rs 45 lakh worth Lakshmi Sastranama Vali Kusuma Mala (gold) to Padmavathi Ammavari Temple at Tiruchanoor near here.

The devotee handedover the gold 'Kusuma Mala', containing 1008 Lakshmi dollars, weighing about four kg to the temple Deputy Executive Officer T A P Narayan.

The precious gift would decorate the presiding deity of Goddess Padmavati Ammavaru on the occasion of 'Varalakshmi Varatam Day', tomorrow.
