Bangalore, Aug 3 (UNI) Severely criticising the Karnataka Government for having failed on all fronts, the Communist Party of India (Marxist) State unit today demanded the resignation of Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy.

In a release here, CPI(M) State Secretary G N Nagaraj alleged that the JD(S)-BJP coalition Government, in its six months in office, was facing a series of corruption charges.

Describing the JD(S)-BJP combine as ''most opportunistic'', he said both the parties with divergent ideologies had come together only to share power and hence could not deliver good governance.

Mr Nagaraj decried the State Government for having fixed higher fee structure for admissions to professional colleges and urged it to reduce the fees to make it affordable for poor students.

He criticised Deputy Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa for defending former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda and BJP General Secretary H N Ananthkumar for having received election funds from chit company Vinivinc, which had defrauded the public of crores of Rupees.
