Bail denied to treasury employee

Patna, Aug 3 (UNI) Special vigilance judge in-charge of Patna Jayant Kumar Sen today rejected the regular bail petition of an employee of Patna treasury in disproportionate assets case.

According to the charges, an assistant of Patna collectoriate treasury Girish Kumar had amassed wealth of worth over Rs 38.61 lakh, which was found disproportionate to his all known sources of income during the period from 1992 to 2004.

The accused was remanded to judicial custody on July 25 after his arrest by the officials of state vigilance investigation bureau following an FIR registred under various sections of IPC and Prevention of Corruption Act.
